I am making some tests for a pseudo-3D environment and I run into few problems, I am not sure if I’m doing something wrong.

1. I was able to go from level1 to level2 but was unable to do the reverse once I was in level2. Is it possible to switch levels back and forth?

2. I was unable to find a way to close the game (functions like: exit/close), is there a function for this event?

3. The assignment of animations seems to be a bit difficult, is there a tutorial on how to import models and assign animations?

My test level: www.gamemaker3d.com/player?pid=051530011834

Hello,
1.There is a bug that prevents the mouse events to run when you go to level2. We will fix the bug as soon as possible and let you know.
2. There isn't a way to close the game. We will add the option in the future.
3. We are planning to make a tutorial for models and animations. We will keep you posted.
Regards,

This is great news and much, much faster bug-fixing then I expected. Thank you for your reply and for all of your hard work on the engine.

Just one more question about publishing: If I publish the same game-file again will it rewrite the old published file? Or should i delete the old game once I publish new version?

Edit:
Doesn't seem to be working yet, I also re-saved it as a 'Environment test v2' project to be sure.

You are welcome, That's what we are here for!
You can publish the same game again and it will replace the old one.
Good luck with your game.

Yes cache was the problem, when I entered the editor using incognito window everything worked fine. Thank you again for your work.
