Cyberix3D - Free Online 3D Game Maker

Does anyone know how to make an inventory/backpack system as I am restarting fright night with inspiration from www.google.com/search?q=radiation+island...215&bih=527&dpr=1.13

The only thing that comes to my mind (although it might be a messy method depending on how many objects there will be) is to make a bunch of variables with each object's name.

Set them all to 0, and make it so whenever you pick it up it sets to 1. In the player's code, make it so "if player has object set to 1" then make it able to be equipped.
